Situation in Quebec

Hi,

 

I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the situation in Quebec and whether it might affect CaRMs and the residency match and the future of residents. I am applying to McGill and am thinking about going there, but I'm beginning to get a bit concerned about the situation. It seems as though it's affecting the medical students because of the recent CaRMS deadline extension, so I'm assuming that it's going to affect the residents as well.

You should be reading the posts about the Quebec situation in the Med students forum. As for residency applications, i don't think you should stop yourself from applying just because of the situation. I am not sure how it will affect my own carms applications but doesn't mean it should affect anyone outside of the province.
