oversea volunteer organization based in Vancouver?

I have a 4 month off this summer, so I would like to travel somewhere oversea (perferlly somewhere exotic in South America). I am looking for Vancouver based organizations that would take undergrad student to volunteer (i.e building shelter, or assit ophrange) and have fun travelling at the same time. If you know any such organization exist in Vancouve, please let me know. THANKS!

Canadian Alliance for Development Initiatives and Projects (CADIP) is a non-profit Canadian organization based in Vancouver. I will be travelling this summer and decided to do a volunteer stint through them. Although I will not be able to comment on the quality of my experience until I get back at the end of the summer, it might be worthwhile taking a look at their website: http://www.cadip.ca

Check out Hope International (they're based in New Westminster). They have a great volunteer program called UNION. I went to the Domincan Republic with one of their teams a few years ago and it was a great experience.
