Bachelor of Science - General vs Specific???

Hey everyone,

 

Hopefully you might know this. In terms of applying to medical school, do they look at what degree you have?

 

I'm puzzled between just getting a general 4 years Honours Bachelor of Science which means I can take easy random courses for 4th year or to get a Kinesiology degree.

 

Also, does anyone know whether you can apply to master's in Kine with a general BSC? Any advice would be helpful.

I have an average of around 87% but my 2nd year organic chem mark is only 76 % and I also only got 72 % in a first year English course. How much will this affect my chances of getting into med school (ie- for schools like UBC where both these courses are prereqs)

It's a route that i'm considering...get a masters, maybe work as a paramedic for a bit and get some exposure to the health care field. Any feedback would be appreciated!
