lostintime
I couldn't find anything by search, but I'm really confused about how it works. According to OMSAS, a 3.7 is 80%, but on their conversion, a 85% is 3.7. Which one are we supposed to use? Thanks.
Addy
If you apply to Calgary you use the Calgary grading system. They have both a percent and a GPA conversion, you use whichever benefits you more (so for a course that you got 73%/3.0 by Ontario, the % looks better...for a course you got 85% in, you put 4.0 cuz that looks better). Do I make any sense?
lostintime
Thanks for replying Addy. So honestly you can just pick whatever is better for you? Don't you send them a transcript and they will do the conversion?
Addy
YOu do send them a transcript. But the instructions said to put whatever looks better for you (but phrased more eloquently)...I think this is because grade scales aren't standardized across the country.
