How do you BEGIN Studying for the MCAT?

Starting with a diagnostic is a good idea if you have a good (and recent) science background. If you don't, you're just gonna feel like ass because you will get awful scores - I had done some studying last summer, and when I took the Kaplan diagnostic this past winter before doing any review, I got a 24. In this case, simply starting to read a prep book is a better idea - take the AAMC 3 once you're done reading, and then you can read again (or read another prep book) and/or do more practice exams.
