darknight Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 For those canadian citizens that graduate from a US medical school, or i think any medical school abroad, how 'powerful' are doing electives in canada? Coupled with good scores, can they put you on par with a canadian graduate? or can they just make a grim situation look a little better?

Coupled with good scores, can they put you on par with a canadian graduate? or can they just make a grim situation look a little better? electives look pretty good. especailly if you apply to the same residency program. usually if you go to a respectable american school you could get an upper hand over a canadian grad who hasnt rotated there. all things considering equal.
