Hello lll,

Well I'm going to do my best to answer your question. First of all, with respect to your question about whether or not he is eligible for immigration into canada after completing his business course I have no idea. Maybe it's best your speak to canadian immigration about that they probably know best. I haven't ever heard of the school you've mentioned so I cannot comment on it. But I can answer your question about whether or not it fulfills the requirements for dental school. From my understanding business schools focus strictly on business related courses such as management or accounting etc. Most dental schools in canada require fundamental courses in science for example, organic chemistry, general chemistry, biochem and even physics (each school has their specific requirements and it's best thay your friend look up the requirements for each school individually), my assumption is that it would be very difficult for someone pursuing a two year business degree to also at the same time take courses required for dental school. Also, is this institution a university or a college, because I'm pretty sure that dental schools do not accept college level degrees or courses. If it is actually a university, then 2 years is not enough, you need at least 3 years to apply to some dental schools (again you must look up the specifics for each school, some require an honours degree which is 4 years). Furthermore, does your friend have a university degree, or background in some sort of science field from back home and is just coming to canada to study business as an extra degree or not??

hope that helps,

I'm 100% sure that there is no Royal Canadian Institute of Technology in Vancouver, but there IS a British Columbia Institute of Technology in Burnaby. It's fairly well known and respected for its intense courses in trades, business, other technologies, and grads of its programs are generally highly prized in industry. However, I'm not sure if its courses will qualify as prereqs for Dschools since (i think) it is not a degree granting institution. Anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong.
