When will pre-req and cumulative GPAs show?

Recommended Posts

last year for many people it took near the end of january for them to show up. for some it was just a few days before interview invites went out.

after you submit, you can login and if you scroll about halfway down it will list your prereqGPA and the courses they used to calculate it your cGPA.

hope this helps!

Yeah, I submitted about a week and a half ago, but nothing is showing to date, and I KNOW they have my transcripts.

hi guys, does anyone know how UA uses the marks for prerequisites that are being completed this year? Do they grant conditional interviews/acceptances and require only a minimum grade to be met? Or do they actually take the new marks in May and recalculate everything to see if the complete pGPA was competitive against the applicant pool?

Ya mine were higher than I expected too. I wonder if they made a mistake?

pGPA 3.72

cGPA 3.95

I know pGPA is a little low, but combined with cGPA, will I score decently in the academic department? I don't know much about how UA admissions works.

UofA truncates (and doesn't round ) the cGPA, I don't know why you are seeing an extra number. Your cGPA should read 3.9.

This is what I see in my account:

Am I looking in the wrong place? Are they trying out a new conversion system or something? It sucks that Everyone is seeing higher-than-expected GPAs ;)

edit: btw how do those numbers look? yay or nay?

Hey I feel ripped off! I still don't see my extra digit!

And btw, those numbers have have tooty are fine, just go check out the accepted, waitlisted, rejected sticky.

Also, is everyone that is seeing higher than expected GPAs OOP?

I'm IP and everything looks like it should for me.

Wow, that's a weird difference. You must've scored 4.0 in every single other course to have a cGPA near 4.0 and a pGPA that is so much lower.

Ya I know. I did retardedly bad in first year chem :(

So I take it that UA must be using a new conversion system where everyone is getting super high GPA's that are calculated to the 2nd decimal.. I would have never expected a cGPA of 3.9+, a high 3.8 maybe, but 3.9 is just too sweet.
