teendoc
I have already searched but couldnt find the exact answer so please dont ask. I am at western right now, but live in hamilton. If i take english at mcmaster, as a prereq for states and out west, will it count towards my gpa. I ask because english is my weakest subject, so will it count for prereq but not in calculating gpa. Also, will mac accept me or do i have to apply for summer school. thanks

What about schools in canada such as UBC and what about schools that dont even require english, such as UWO. Will they judge me on it?

Will they judge me on it? UWO doesn't care about your summer courses at all (or your cumulative GPA in general) as long as you have 2 years at 30 credits and 3.7+. tooty
What about schools in canada such as UBC and what about schools that dont even require english, such as UWO. Will they judge me on it? I'm pretty sure UBC doesn't look at summer courses. A quick read of each school's admissions website would get you the answer. The only school I know for sure counts all of your grades is Mac. And no, adcoms will not penalize you at all for taking summer courses. I think it's a smart idea to take tough courses during summer. However, some schools (ie UT) require that a majority of courses you take each year are on par with your year of study. ie. most of your courses you take in 3rd year should be 300 level courses. So make sure you save enough appropriate courses to take during fall and winter.
