mcpc10
Hi, I'm planning on applying to UBC this summer, but am an Ontario resident and have heard horror stories about my probability of actually getting in. I have a GPA slightly above a 3.6 and got a 10 (PS)-11 (VS)-11(BS)-P on the MCATs. What do you think my chances are?? Also, I"m willing to retake the MCATs (I'm currently debating this), but I'd prefer not to. Thanks in advance for any advice/previous experiences anyone wants to share
avenir001
what's your overall avg and last 60-credit avg in %?..once u know those, u can calculate ur AQ out of 25...then u'll know roughly how much u need on the NAQ (also out of 25) to get an interview. ur mcat is fine for ubc. Kuantum
the OOP waitlist moved a lot this year for UBC. 37 were interviewed, and they ended up giving out 31 offers. So, if you can get the interview, and this continues (which i should mention was very different from the previous year) you are in relatively good hands. Smurfette
It is extremely difficult to get an interview at UBC as an OOP student. But I think once you do get an interview, you have a decent chance. As an Ontario student, I wouldn't put my eggs into the UBC basket, but you never know. Good luck!
