Ordering Textbooks from the US

EBAY is amazing if you can find your book. A lot of times, it'll be the international edition if it ships from outside NA, but its the exact same, only paper back. For example, I paid $60 (including shipping) for a new international edition biochemistry book (Voet, Voet) which my bookstore sell new for 119 + tax

Even buying used books is cheaper, e.g The Cell (Alberts et al, 4th ed) two years ago, I got used from Florida for $70 when the new book cost $139 and a used one at my bookstore cost $100

I can second that! I bought an international version for more than 1/2 off of what the school bookstore was paying for it. Mine even had colour pics (which apparently they don't all do). Plus it was soft cover so 1/2 the weight as well. There was no duty, it came quickly (from NY) & the s&h was around $10 or $12. I didn't end up taking the class and sold it for what I had paid for it. At the end of the semester, you could still sell it for what you paid for it & the other person would still be saving money off of a used book price!
