RuralDoc
Ethical dilemma- I understand doctors can write prescriptions for minor and emergency conditions for family. Does this translate into me being able to write a prescription for myself for Biaxin, a common antibiotic for a mild case of sinusitis? For me, it would mean avoiding sitting in the only local walk in clinic and ER in the town I work in- where I would be seen as a pt by all of my preceptors and pts. Not only do I want to avoid hours of waiting, I see this illness as a sign of "weakness" and am sort of embarrassed that I got run down enough to get it and want it treated. My gut feeling is no, but my prescription pad is right beside me and it is tempting...
noncestvrai
I think it's illegal as per the Code, in my province at least. Why risk big trouble for just a small favour you ask a colleague...god, it's not...well it could be for an STI, right and not biaxin... In any case, I would go see a doctor, or take some free samples of biaxin if you have any. noncestvrai
White-Tiger
One of our lecturers this year at McGill stated he could write himself a prescription but it wouldn't be covered by health insurance. Is this true?
