acromium
Just wondering if there are any organized sessions this year for the MMI. I am not very familiar with this interview style, and frankly I do want to do anything I can to NOT mess it up...so if there are sessions organized already or ppl want to do smth then please count me in. I heard in past years Nurse Natalie has been very instrumental about organizing such help-sessions....nurse natalie if u r still active in this forum plz helppppppppp :)
NurseNathalie
I have not heard of any 'formal' sessions organized yet, and unfortunately - I am unable to organize one myself this year. good luck!
med2012
Like acromium, I am also not very familiar with MMIs. Any ideas on where we can get help?

GeezLouise
Well, I've been through two different MMIs (NOSM and Uni of Sydney) and they're pretty much the same. It's like a game show! Very fun and not as nerve-wracking (I find) as the traditional interview. You can do some research, even on pubmed, about the validity of using MMI. Other than that, you just prepare the way you do for any other interview. THe only difference is that your answer won't lead to another question -- once you've finished answering, you get to leave and start fresh at the next door! My history: NOSM rejection, Sydney acceptance (but deferred), Ottawa rejection (traditional interview), McMaster this year
The Law
I'm at Western and I've been in the process of planning mock interviews as a fundraiser for Schulich's student government... if it all falls through (we're waiting for our proposal to be approved by admissions at Western), then students at Western can get mock one-on-one and MMI interviews. It's been a few days since the proposal was sent and nothing's been approved yet though...
