Best Resource(s) to prepare for bio section?

Recommended Posts

I have currently been reading through the Kaplan book (the big blue one) and have done a few chapters in the biology section. I feel ready for all the other sections. Is this a good tool to prepare for the bio section? If not what other resources or books are useful? The only other useful thing I can think of are the past DAT science exams in the IQ publications books

Thanks a lot for the help!

Kaplan blue book covers the basic stuff well.

I recommand knowing it inside out!

On top of this, I used Examkracker Bio (MCAT), I think this book is quite useful in getting the finer details.

And practice your problem solving skills with DAT destroyer!

Ya.

EK is thorough but lively (Kaplan blue book is what I used as a text and pillow).

Practice makes perfect. Learn from your mistakes. You can read all you want, but until you're testing yourself, you can't really gauge what you've learned. Kaplan does make a lot of great practice materials, so test your might on those.

I agree, EK is a great resource. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but when I wrote this past november I found the bio section on the DAT to be absolutely all over the board in terms of content. The only reason I did well was becasue I remembered a lot from all the bio courses I've taken.
