Interview time?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know around what time the interviews start (morning /afternoon)? I ask because I need to know if it is possible to make a 4pm flight out of Winnipeg.

I would really appreciate if someone could let me know either from knowledge of past years or knowledge of this years interview. Thanks :)

I suggest holding off on flying out until the evening/night. If you think about it, the day is 5 hours long. Suppose you start at or around 9. That means maybe you would be done at 2. Give or take 1/2hr-1hr to get a taxi and get to the airport. You are pushing it.

The format of MMI is different from the panel they had last year. So it isn't like you and a dozen others just show up for your time and leave after the hour. They likely will have a large groups arrive at a few different times.

Interview dates should be set likely this week from what I've been told. I would wait until then, or better yet, wait and watch the webcast on Thursday which should give you more insight. If you are worrying about plane fare, from personal experience this time of year is pretty consistent for getting similar prices.

Thanks Keith. The reason why I wanted to know is because I have another interview in a different province the day after one of the possible days that my U of M interview might be. If my interview is scheduled on that weekend and I can't make the 4pm flight there is only one other flight possible (which has limited seating left at this point). I am thinking of contacting U of M to ask if I can have my interview on the other weekend just in case, even though I did not request this on the form we sent in. I'm not sure if that is possible at this point though.

Call the number on the invite paper. You'll probably want to speak with Jasmine.

actually, your exact same situation is what i faced with another invite on the same weekend. I originally said i could do all the dates, but then i got an interview for march 15/16 so i emailed UofM on monday and they replied saying they'ld cross me off for that weekend. You should email them as soon as possible since the email said they were just deciding when to give each applicant each date.

[edit] - forgot the date i emailed them, it was actually wednesday, not monday.
