Egorema@hotmail.com
alright guys I wanna thank all of you for some wonderful answers for my previous posts, I hope you can help me with this one as well Q: I am currently at University of Waterloo and I am getting 95+ for all my courses, just wondering would this make a difference from just a 90+? b/c in graded GPA 90+ for my school is a 4.0 GPA. But I also heard that medschools have your transcript and can see all of your actual marks. ps: i am not trying to show off my marks I just wanna decide weather or not I still need to spend tons of time to keep up with grades or I can just take some of my time doing more volunteering if 90+ and 95+ wouldnt make any difference. Thank you very much
KennethToronto
Unless it's for USask OOP, the 95 versus the 90 is irrelevant.
The Law
yes, there is a huge difference between a 90+ and a 95+
avenir001
as his sig suggests, law can only see either of those two in his dreams

crimson
watch out, I hear if you only get 90 you will not get into med school
Guest begaster
They let people with 95's into med school now? That's absolutely ridiculous. Canada must really be hurting for doctors when they start replacing quality with quantity.
Madz25
90 or 95 wont make a big difference since all Ontario schools (and Dalhousie) use the OMSAS conversion chart. As someone already mentioned, the only school that looks at percentages and makes cutoffs based on those is Saskatchewan. Getting 90+ instead of 95+ really wont make or break your application. Jazzie
applying to med school means: studying=breathing, studying=eating, studying=pooping, sleeping= reduced to winking, social life=non-existent. and oh, it also means debt accummulation. Dr.Cave
applying to med school means: studying=breathing, studying=eating, studying=pooping, sleeping= reduced to winking, social life=non-existent. and oh, it also means debt accummulation. Absolute total BS. OP should go do something fun and interesting instead of studying non-stop.

rbardem
are you in your first year at UW?
Dr.Cave
haha, dr cave, jazzie was being sarcastic Yes, but I think the OP believes it. Only work hard enough to get low 90's so that they can volunteer an extra 40 hrs/week - thats extreme:eek:
