> 5 credits/semester?

What happens when you take 5.5 courses a year? do they take the best 5 or do they take all of it for your gpa?

UofT will use marks from all the courses taken during regular school. So, I don't see any advantage of taking more than 5 courses per semester. I also have 7 courses this semester and its hard to keep up a good GPA in 7 courses.

Sorry I didn't see that this was a UofT thread....

3. How are GPAs calculated?

Only those years in which at least 5 full or equivalent courses (30 credit hours) are taken between September and April will be used in the calculation of GPA admission cutoffs.

When students are required to take more than 5 full courses during any September to April academic year because of program requirements, the five best courses will be used in the calculation of GPA admission cutoffs

Thats from westerns FAQ

You are right about U of T, they us all grades, but for every year you study it looks like they take away one of your lowest marks... to challenge you to take harder courses...although that would just make it all the better for people who took all easy courses.
