AllSmiles Posted February 11, 2008 Report Share Posted February 11, 2008 At the moment I'm going to say UWO but that's because I know a lot more about the dental school here....if I get an interview at UT then I will look into it more and form a more educated decision...I know very little about the UT program so far...but I do love the city of Toronto more than London... bruce dds Posted February 16, 2008 Report Share Posted February 16, 2008 UofT is a bit more academic based while UWO is a bit more clinically based, this is because UofT has a much stronger specialty and research based program just because of it size and history....so if you wish to graduate as a good GP dentist UWO maybe your choice ...if you want to specialize, teach, research UofT maybe your direction.....however a little time out as a GP you will be in the same place skill wise anyway.....London is likely cheaper to live in, less commute time, smaller class, more initmate school....Toronto has the big city experience if you can fit it in. Given that, if you have a choice than you have to decide what you are looking for. Every school has their pros and cons, should ask some upper years student what they like and don't like.
