Post-interview

Recommended Posts

For those of you who interviewed this past weekend (or the weekend in February), I presume you've all breathed a huge sigh of relief!

I interviewed this weekend at U of T and I have to say that it was the best experience I could have expected! They were extremely kind and the interview was relaxed. I can't speak for everyone, but I know that that was the general consenses from the people I spoke to.

Question 1: If everyone had such a great experience, how do they choose???

I've heard there's some sort of ranking system, but in any case, I was just wondering what your thoughts are.

Question 2: How were your feelings about the interview?

Good luck to you all! :D

A quick question for those who already had an interview. About what time did the day finish (including all the info presentations, videos, etc)? Thanks!

I can answer this question for the morning sessions:

They do the presentation before ALL of the interviews (ie presentation from 8-9 and first interview at 9) Then, if you had a later morning interview (10am or 11am) you went on a campus tour before your interview, adn if you had the 9am interview you went on the tour after. I really enjoyed and got alot out of both the info session and tours - the med students there were so friendly and helpful!

They had lunch at 12noon, and I believe both the morning and afternoon interviewees ate at that time.

So - Everything, was over (for the morning people) by 1ish (i guess depending on how slow you eat :P

I'm not sure about the afternoon interviews though - perhaps someone else can answer that one...

really? hmm i've always heard its 60 academic 20 ec 20 interview.....

The way I see it, either way, you'll still going to try your best on the interview. So in the end it doesn't make a difference :o

PS: Thanks for the replies to my question :)

If that's the case then there'd be no point in me interviewing. I know I'm coming in at a huge disadvantage academically (if I told you all my cumulative GPA you'd LYAO). Talking 0/60. But really I don't give a ___. I'm just going to have to knock their socks off at the interview. :D

Good luck everyone!

I am a second year Medical student at UofT. I just wanted to say that interviews are very important for the selection process. Otherwise, UofT would not put the time and effort to interview ~450 applicants. No matter how much the interview worth, interviewers’ opinion is very important at the end of the day. So, if you have a strong application pre-interview, but scored poorly in the interview, this might reduce your chances of getting accepted.
