how about becoming a Senior Member before making suggestions to the Almighty Gods of this forum? :D:P

If I were the person you directed this response to, I would be little upset. I mean, yea it is good that you have been around a while and yes you have 10 posts per day. But in no way you have a right to belittle people like this. And I doubt others are interested what's going on in people's lives other than what's relevant to this forum. Stop spamming.

Thanks for the increase Ian!

It'd be nice if not everyone used the forums as an instant-messaging board either.

Makes the subjects of threads hard to follow.

I second this, as a big fancy "senior member". Let roll the gibberish over to that giant thread designed for it on the main forum. Good post medwannabe08.

in case you didn't notice, the smileys (:D:P) mean that i was just joking...then again, i think you know that, because you LOL'd at my comment before you edited your post which I read before you replaced it with this one. :)

I could tell from the smileys that you were joking but I would still find it belittling considering he/she was trying to make a serious point. ;)

I tinkered with the settings. All users should now have up to a 300 message limit. Let me know if it didn't work.

Ian

Yay, thanks Ian.

I have another request, it would kind of sweet if we could be allowed to have avatars (you could put limit on their sizes). ;):)

Scroll down? How about using MSN Messenger instead?

I'm sorry that they interrupted a riveting conversation on the size increase of inboxes... :P

I agree with you, sometimes threads are being derailed (which is bound to happen when humans converse with other humans), but there should be moderators to deal with that. I think you're being uptight for no particular reason, in this case though. No offense.

I would have to disagree with you Law and I don't think that medwannabe08 is being at all 'uptight' and unreasonable with the proposed request. I'm quite sure that your opinion is based on the fact that you tend to be one of the few that stand out in my opinion at least, who often talk about personal matters not really relevant to the posted thread. Am definitely not attacking you because I think that you also evoke some very thought-provoking assertions and well laid out points at times. But I would agree with medwannabe08 that there are many other venues, such as msn, where you can talk about other matters not relevant to the posted thread topic. Cheers.

Fair enough, the random discussion should be confined to the random threads I suppose, but I don't feel that there was any serious discussion going on over here to be particularly concerned about. I agree, however, that in many threads we should be careful not to derail serious conversations that are going on in them. :)
