coastalslacker
So, the LMCC-does anyone care? I am having a profoundly difficult time getting any motivation to study. I'm down to one week, and have put in next to no time. The thing is, my knowledge base isn't that great as I haven't really given a doo doo about much of the stuff we've learnt in med school. I should be more scared. I should be more scared, right? The worst part is that feeling that you can't really go out and do anything enjoyable because you should be studying!!! Anyone else in the same boat?
coastalslacker
lol, everybody knows that. If you read carefully, my stress is more of a stress over not being stressed so the less stressed and more amotivated I get the more stressed I get. Go easy on me, I just came off psych........ noncestvrai
Horrible, my motivations are more about watching playoff hockey (Go Habs Go!). I'm more interested in finding a place/buying a car for res than studying public health and epidemiology...not to mention ob/gyn... Je suis BLASÉ... noncestvrai
treadmill
I was just reading through this thread and would appreciate some clarification.... What is this LMCC exam? Is it like the MCCQE 2. Do you write this LMCC at the end of residency? Thanks
GABA
LMCC is the same thing as MCCQE. There's two parts: the first part you write typically after medical school and the second part you typically do after PGY-2.
gumgum
I was told most people are taking the MCCQE after PGY1, are you allowed to take it after PGY2?
Ian Wong
The MCCQE Part 1 is taken just before graduating med school in Canada. There is a second exam, the MCCQE Part 2, which is taken in the fall of your PGY-2 year. I'm pretty sure that if you needed to delay taking Part 2, that it's probably doable. The website with all the details is here: http://www.mcc.ca Ian
