Heat
:( I ended up with a 1.4cgpa after first year. I know that I can do better than that. I just slacked off big time. Even though my courses were full year ones, my first year marks were 3.7's and after that the slacking began. So I know im capable of 3.7's and 4.0's if i work hard. Will a 1.4cgpa after first yr hurt my chances when applying to med school? I know there are certain universities taht have their own GPA weighing systems. But will my first yr marks still be my downfall to med?
Gob
But will my first yr marks still be my downfall to med? Possibly, depends what school are applying too. Some schools only take you top 2 years, etc.
Jamer
This is only the 500th thread about this. Try trolling first. I'll respond regardless I suppose--many schools drop your worst year/worst schools. Those schools are your best bet--schools like U of C are probably out of the question.
