Jamie
I was wondering if anyone knows how Mcgill calculates MCAT scores for people that have written the MCAT more than once? Is it an average, the most recent or just the best one?
Sergie
It doesn't. You have to submit all of them. If the trend is up and you show an improvement with the last MCAT being at least 29-30 and more for IPs - good for you. WS is not considered because of big # of francophones and Int applicants applying. You can do it three times max - no punishment. If more -you'd better avoid applying to McGill. MCAT is only a small part of the whole application package and is considered along with other docs. It is not like Queens' cutoffs, for instance. GL. Jamie
Yea, I emailed McGill and they told me they look at all the scores but they only consider the highest total
Celestial
Maybe I'm in a wrong forum, but for those who have difficulties in VR, personally, I would suggest you not to follow Kaplan or Princeton. THEY DO NOT WORK.
Sergie
Yehh, that's a bit off topic I was also somewhat disappointed with both ... I heard that the Exam Crakcer is better. Anyways, it depends on the person and his/her particular skills and problems more, I guess However, besides doing VR samples from Kaplan or Princenton one has to read as much as possible. Both prep courses have a very good and interesting list of suggestions for reading and also tell you that their strategy might or might not fit you. So, anyways you have to work on your own too. aclementine
Hey Sergie, I just have a few questions concerning your post: 1. Do you know if the average is 29-30 or if this is the minimum for consideration? 2. How much does MCAT, GPA, interview, sketch, etc count out of 100? 3. The website says the minimum GPA is 3.5... do you know what the average GPA of successful applicants? It doesn't. You have to submit all of them.
