Letters of Recommendation

Hey guys,

all these application questions are giving me a huge headache but you guys have been a really great help. American apps are so much more complicated so I'm a little bit confused about the LOR.

In the application section, it lists the schools that participate in receiving letters from AMCAS but what about schools that don't? Do you have to send a separate letter to each school? this seems like a reallllllllly stupid thing to have to do. Also, do you send them in right away or do you wait until they ask for secondaries?

Yeah..don't do that. I would recommend using interfolio. Do a search for interfolio here on the forums or google it

From what I understood, for the schools that do participate in AMCAS LOE, you should send your letters directly to AMCAS. For the ones that do not, you have the choice of either sending individual letters to each school or using Interfolio.

Interfolio is making my life so much easier. I definitely recommend it.

 

Just have your letter writers send the reference to interfolio. You can then have interfolio send the letters to AMCAS for the LOE service

Also, do your letters have to be in with the submission or once you get a secondary?

1) yes

 

2) with secondary, but can be submitted before secondary is completed
