Sending in transcripts?

Recommended Posts

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember a couple years ago it took a few weeks to hear back from them afterwards (they send you a letter of confirmation once its all done). I suppose the time I remember it taking may be largely transit time, but either way I'd probably do it ASAP. No, the waitlist movement doesn't require this to be done - but Western does stipulate that OMSAS has an updated transcript by June 30th. Other than that you're fine.

Fingers crossed.

Oh boy, is OMSAS supposed to get a copy of our transcript? I don't remember reading that while going over my package =S I thought they only wanted our confirmation for which school we want to attend?

To jmlconkl, I'm planning to send a copy of my transcript to Toronto. I believe they want the transcript after your degree has been conferred (your final transcript).

I'm sure, as long as you've sent it in a few weeks before the 30th, that there won't be a problem if *they* take past the 30th to process it. They aren't honestly going to kick you out of med school for sending in a form 3 weeks before the stated deadline. After all, what about people getting off the waitlist?

Hi, I convocated on the 17th, yet on ROSI (I'm from UofT), there has been no order placed for a transcript request. OMSAS tells me that the TRF has been received and is now waiting for UofT, though UofT transcript center tells me there has been no order. What should I do? Only 1 week to June 30...

You don't have to worry about anything. OMSAS received the TRF before the deadline. You're not responsible for processing time that they take. The only reason they even give us a June 30 deadline is probably to make sure that they get the transcripts before the end of the summer.

i received a confirmation from OMSAS a few days ago. The snail mail message stated:

"SUBJECT: FINAL TRANCRIPT VERIFICATION NOTICE

We have received and verified your current transcript.

Year average is: X.XX

Cumulative average is: X.XX

Averages may be different from those calculated by the schools you have... ... Please contact OMSAS if these calculations are not correct.

Carolyn Pratt

OMSAS Coordinator"

You do NOT have to send a separate transcript to the Medical Program you will be attending. OMSAS will forward this information themselves.
