Good DAT study materials besides Kaplan

Are there any good books that cover all the contents of the DATs other than Kaplans? Is there a way one can effectively study without taking such an expensive course (ie. Kaplan's?).

I think Kaplan is pretty good. If you want more detail you can use Princeton MCAT books. They are pretty good at explaining material and in some sections they are more detailed. For practice material Kaplan and IQ Publications are pretty good and Top score CD is really good especially for RC. I should tell you though that the actual DAT test especially for chem and bio is much easier than any of the practice test you do so don't stress out too much about learning new materials:)
