AndyDude
Hey folks, I was just browsing about RSS feeds for my screensaver when I came across the podcasts on CBC web. It has some valuable insight and questions that I think are quite interesting. Check it out! Sheena815
I was totally meaning to listed to a bunch of these before my interviews, and never got around to it. But I should do it now that I'm bored and have time.

Guest begaster
Macs are awful, overpriced machines. Jobs is a genius for managing to take an inferior product and make it hipster-trendy.

KennethToronto
Macs pwn, obviously. Yes, macs are like... so beautiful... it takes my breath away Try not to drink too much of the Steve Jobs Kool Aid. Mac computers are x86 just like all competitors and for the price, are often underpowered. Their marketing however....they've got that down to a T
skvangs
macs are cool, had one... a black macbook. It was very slow compared to the windows, and it takes time getting used to. Gave it to my bro.

AndyDude
Dr. Goldman seems more of a fan of importing doctors from other countries vs. training more Canadians to be doctors. Thoughts? Had I not been aspiring to get into medical school, I'd say instead of allocating more spaces for students, invest in infrastructure that would support/allow FMGs to practice in Canada. It does seem like a waste of talent. Currently I am working with a gynecologist and an orthopedic surgeon both trained abroad and are now trying to clear examinations/ get residency spot. I can see how disheartening the process has been for them. However, I don't think shipping in 'doctors only' will be all that beneficial. Lots of scam will get in with false credentials and no real intentions of practicing medicine. The only real issue I have with FMGs on par with Canadian docs is that it is relatively easier to get accepted into medical schools abroad than at home. After medical school, I don't think it's all that impossible to crack MCCQEs. So why should FMGs reap the benefits when there is talent in your own backyard? I contradict myself. But I am split 60-40. Again, if I were a non-pre-med, I'd be 50-50.
supafield
thanks a lot for posting this... will definitely listen to these as for computers... microsoft kept pushing a flawed operating system which opened the door for mac... Mac took off before it's marketing became as evident as it is today... As a loyal user of PC's for years, and a constant heckler of a few family members for using nothing but mac's, when I got my hands on a powerbook for a while.... I was never going back... The fastest computer out there or not, in my 3 years with mac laptops I've never had a virus or a problem with file corruption.... that alone would be enough for me... but there's tonnes of other stuff too.
