mik212
Hey guys, I'm currently taking a summer course that I want to drop. Between work, studying for the mcat, and this, I just can't handle it. If I drop it right now, my university won't give me any academic penalty but I do believe I will get a W on my transcript for a withdrawn course. I was just wondering if anyone could advise me as to how this may affect my GPA for medical school applications, or if it may negatively affect me in some other way (with regards to medical school applications, of course). Thanks!
ghostgirl123
I'm pretty sure that courses taken in summer school doesn't count towards your med. school application gpa...
avenir001
some schools (eg ubc, mac) do use all courses ever taken in your gpa calculation. if you don't think you'll do well, i'd just drop it...one or 2 W's on your transcript aren't really gonna matter.
