shaq29
Hey there, I had some questions about the vaccinations. Where is the best place to go to get them all done? The travel clinic advised me that I can get them all done at the U of C - is this true? I picked up a vaccination record so I know what I have had done. If anyone has any advice or current med students that could let me know of their experiences... thanks in advance.
George
as far as I know, the UHS does do it all (for a fee) - at least, they seemed to be ok booking me an appointment for everything

Rock*
Everything is covered except for mantoux tests, which are $30. Also, if you want to get both Hep A and Hep B vaccinations, it's going to be 3 Twinrix vaccinations at $66 or so dollars a pop = $200 total in 6 months. dinesh6
anybody from Edmonton have tips on getting them done? I have already booked TB tests at the downtown business unit (which is for ppl looking to meet postsecondary immunization requirements). I will have to ask the nurse what I still require. I just was wondering if anyone knows of getting the test/vaccines done for free/cheap in Edmonton for students going to Calgary?
Nephets
I had mine done in Edmonton at the UofA health centre and a public health clinic and they were all free (including titres and Mantoux). N
Nephets
I got my Mantoux at the public health clinic which was free as it was required for a healthcare related reason. I have had this repeated twice in Calgary for free as well. My Hep B titre was free too. Maybe there is some luck involved.
shaq29
Ya, I think luck is a huge factor. I'm getting mine done at U of C Health Services and they were really good at going through the forms and my vaccination record to figure out what I needed. But I did have to pay $35.00 for the Mantoux test and forms.

Oh well, they've done it many times I guess ...
