stupid question

Hey All,

This is a really stupid question but I feel the need to ask it. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with all the material I have to learn for the mcat. Besides doing all the homework and going to classes and reviewing, what is the best way to study for the MCAT? Are people just continually reviwing and memorizing what they have to?

Any advice is helpful! I'm just feeling as if I'm not actually retaining the information.

practice tests!

Also, I found it very useful to make sure that I UNDERSTOOD what I was learning. Making sure that you understand what the physics equations are doing will help you to use them in unfamiliar situations.

Learning the way that the endocrine system works as a whole (at least kind of understanding it) will help put things in perspective.

Yes, being familiar with the test format is very important. Knowing the material is only half the battle. Do as many practice tests as possible.

well what I am doing is that I started with reviewing everything from a prep book that I bought (Kaplan) and then I did a practice exam. I found my weaknesses and focused on those. I continued to do practice exams for a while and then went back to another prep book and did a review of everything again. I am doing practice questions every day and am going through old notes for each subject. I plan on starting ochem a month before because I find I forget it if I study it too far in advance and doing practice exams every day for two weeks before my exam.I am not sure how useful this is all going to be but I guess I'll find out in about a month!
