smilee
hey all, i am getting some 2x2 passport photos printed up and it just occurred to me to check and see if any Canadian schools have a similar requirement as it is cheaper to buy more photos at the same time rather than going back later and taking another photo. so if anyone is aware of a 2x2 photo requirement at any Canadian schools, I'd appreciate your reply. thanks! AllSmiles
Not that I know of...most Canadian schools don't even ask for references or personal statements (except UBC and McGill I believe).
OutEast
McGill required a photo this year.
lanvin2356
Why would they ask for photos?
Arnie
Why would they ask for photos? So that your best friend who is an ACE at interviewing doesn't try to sub in for you. ID purposes is all.
lanvin2356
Maybe I'm crazy to think a driver's license on the day of the interview would have been sufficient...??
Arnie
Depends on the school. UofT didn't require a photo with the application, but checked ID (license is ok) on the day of the interview. Either way, same purpose.
amalgamgrillz
haha wow, i definitely the 2x2s were for recalling the applicant after interviews..like putting a face to the name/application/interview
Mare
Haha...Amal - I figured the same thing!
Contach
So that your best friend who is an ACE at interviewing doesn't try to sub in for you. ID purposes is all. This is a joke right? This is the easiest thing to scam... I thought ID was for: 1) Adcoms to recall an individual's name after the interview. 2) Minority reporting purposes.... but probably more-so #1.
