Odie
I was wondering...do we have to be familiar with the Imperial System. I have to admit that using feet, slug, pound messes me up sometimes.

ballofnerves
I seriously doubt it. I have never come across imperial units in any practice test.
Pantaloons
No, forget Imperial units. It's SI units that are important. I've noticed, however, that TPR sometimes throws imperial units into their practice questions. This should only be taken as practice for dimensional analysis, and I wouldn't expect to see any imperial units on any AAMC MCAT passages.

metukah
ive written a AAMC test where they gave stuff in pounds, but they gave you the conversion factor to kilogram, so you just had to convert.... if they do give imperial...they will give the converstion factor. dan0105
I've also seen questions where they use say miles for some kinematics problem, but then all the answers for the velocities were also in miles/sec or miles/hour, so you technically didn't need to convert anything when using the formulas we are supposed to know (I guess it confuses some people and they lose it!)
