MCFMP
Will I lose points if I use the knife as opposed to a pencil or a sharpie to draw the lines on the soap? In the official CDA book they mentioned "unofficially" that we can use the knife. Edit*: One last question... where can I find additional possible test shapes for the carving? Neil45
For the second question, buy the soap carving book on the IQ publication website (http://www.iqpublications.com/cgi_bin/cart.pl?db=stuff.dat&category=Canadian%20DAT%20Materials
MCFMP
*bump So does anyone know if I'm allowed to mark the soap using the knife?
roko281
Yes, it is totally okay to mark the soap with blade. Many people use the other side of the blade to mark the soap (the dull side of the blade not the sharp side). Go ahead and use it!
