Phloem01
Hey. For Canadian schools the carving is by far the most important section on the DAT. You can buy a prep kit from the CDA online, which gives you a knife and chalk to practice on. You can also buy soap online after some practice with the chalk. It's the same soap they will provide on the real DAT. Hope this helps. Do you know how strict McGill is on out of province applicants?

FullMetalDS
hello, i wouldn't blow the money on carving exercises if i were you, i am oop in mcgill now, and my carving score going in was 15, so mcgill doesn't place much emphasis on the carving score (which i think is great because the carving score really doesn't say much about how good you are with the drill once you have practiced for a while). just order soap from the cda, buy a guide from the bookstore and practice yourself. you should consult some of your friends who have done it before for advice, hope this helps! Contach
rock the dat isnt the only way to do well on carving. and im sorry for you if your process of thought is so catastrophic to think that it is. it seems to me you are putting yourself in an impossible situation and therefore not much room for help or advice.
