silvermen85
ya honestly 14/9/14 R......the 9 is going to kill me, I knew I should have re-written You have similar score as mine 13/9/12 R, I got my rejection out of the way earlier today hah. It's ok we still have UofO and UofT to look forward to!!
supafield
md2be said cGPA was weak but last two years was a 3.8.... and was a grad student.... Possible that the 3.8 was grad GPA.... Because with a last two years of 3.8 ... and then to have the grad degree which would allow queens to still give an interview even if the GPA was too low... I can't imagine that all adds up
silvermen85
Grad student get extra consideration only if they meet the mcat cutoff first.

silvermen85
Why did they have to change the cutoffs Now I have to sit around waiting for a rejection lol Apparently the VR going from 9 to 10 got rid of alot of applicants...like us haha. supafield
Grad student get extra consideration only if they meet the mcat cutoff first. which is what I was thinking.... but the 11,11,11 Q doesn't work, but a VR10/WSQ (>10 in PS & BS) does? Lol I'm confused, and likely rejected
oh-iknow
Grad student get extra consideration only if they meet the mcat cutoff first. ah, so maybe md2be's 11-11-11 Q didn't make it? this is not good news for me.
icedawg
this is fun, isn't it? </sarcasm> this is exactly why Queen's should just post the cut-offs! Western does it every year and no apparent harm befalls them by doing so! I really need to go do something else...can't keep checking the e-mail.......... oh...and maybe they've devised something different for grad students, so we shouldn't be concerned about md2be's rejection? who knows. silvermen85
Does Queen's say grad applicant are those in grad school or with grad degree like Mac?
Alastriss
You know I always wondered why smart people went to the carribean. I always wonder "why didn't they just keep trying in canada" oh wait wait I got this one: because canadian admissions are as ridiculous and absurd as keanu reeves winning an oscar and they don't want to put up with this bulls***. Retsage
Just got back from the gym. Still nothing. Lol. This is almost as awesome as the time Queen's didn't send me the "class is full" email and I held onto hope until, oh, the end of August when I found a thread talking about the email from six weeks prior here. Good ol' Canada.

Not even the carribean, just seeing how US schools handle interview invite would make you consider other option. Yeah sure, the process can be random, but at least they don't pretend to use a fixed standard and then change the cut-off every year.
habman6
Apparently the VR going from 9 to 10 got rid of alot of applicants...like us haha. I'm assuming that's pretty close to official too, right?
silvermen85
I'm assuming that's pretty close to official too, right? Well other than the VR 9 I don't see how I didn't meet Queen's cutoff. PS13, BS12, WSR and a 2 year uGPA of 3.9 should all bring me above the line, and I have a grad degree! kandy4
I know some people think the total has to be 32, but then I should have been cut by now and I've heard nothing. I'm a 31S, 3.82, 4thyr. For now i'm hoping no news is good news.
