number of offers?

Just of out curiosity, does anyone know how many offers UT sends out in the first round? (i.e. the same as the number of spots in the class, or more?) Any insight will be greatly appreciated!

Last year, the number of first round offers was equal to the number of seats in the class - if I remember correctly.

I've heard that in past years (can't say for sure about last year, but I heard that was supposed to be the plan as well) they sent out about 240 offers in the first round. Yes, that is more than the # of seats they have, but they have an idea of how many people usually will turn them down, so I guess they haven't shot themselves in the foot with it yet.
