AdamP
With OMSAS season fast approaching I was thinking it might be helpful to condense as much information as possible on Ontario's 6 medical schools. Applying can be an expensive ordeal and it may be helpful to know which schools are your best fit and best hope . I was hoping this could become a sort of living document that incorporates OMSAS info/Individual Med School Website Info/ and data accumulated from pm101 over the years. I'll start by posting a basic outline (suggest more headings!) and some of the most public information available. Hopefully people can post their knowledge and experiences and I will update this post as new info becomes available... Just because a heading says unknown or is blank doesn't mean the information isn't out there, just means I don't know it or haven't got around to posting it. If you have the answer post it below. Don't forget about the OMSAS guide http://www.ouac.on.ca/omsas/pdf/b_omsas_e.pdf Michael G. Post Interview Considerations Interview, MCAT Graduate Degree Considerations None Additional Notes If people can post below or PM me info, I'll keep updating and filling this in as I have time. For sure by the time OMSAS opens this will be a great resource. Also, one thing i'm interested in including is rough estimates of GPA and MCAT interview cutoffs for schools that don't post based on pm101 data, but it's hard to track down easily and trust, if people could post or PM that data with a link, I think that would be helpful. Also don't forget to propose corrections and alternative headings!

rmorelan
Going to update this now that new OMSAS is out... Anyone noticed any big changes?? The MAC questions seem better this year Not too much so far that we didn't already know - Mac uses the V.R. and Ottawa drop the graduate route. Significant increase in the number of slots at many schools. I like the new summary sections at the end of each school's sections. Very organized. Looks like D-Day for 2010 is May 13th (a thursday) which seems like a better choice than the friday before a long weekend Before I forget - Best of luck to all applying next year! thatonekid
Looks like D-Day for 2010 is May 13th (a thursday) which seems like a better choice than the friday before a long weekend Thanks for pointing that out! I hadn't even noticed the date. But then again, there always seems to be at least one school that's late in sending out acceptances.
AdamP
I think it would be interesting to put out a time line of what point in the summer classes fill up. I'm sure it jumps around a bit from year to year but it could be helpful to those on the waitlist. Can people who have gotten notices of their schools filling up pls post the date the e-mail came out and I'll add it too the first page.
