Thanks There are a few academic events on the weekend that you will want to stay for. You will be given notice of these (anatomy review, workshops and lectures etc.) Because we do group work and our weekday schedules get to be pretty full, groups often try to meet on weekends but are unable to because people go home. Trying to be flexible about this may help you and your group. There are also a lot of social events on weekends that are worth sticking around for. While none of these are necessary, they add to life at school. There are students in my class who leave town almost every weekend and more who go home once a month or less. Hope that helps a bit.
