bubblebath
My test is on Thursday and I feel a little uneasy... not because I don't feel prepared, but because I don't think I've studied enough. I took the Kaplan course but only really started studying at the beginning of July. Even then it was only 3-5 days a week, and I either did a full length every so often or reviewed concepts for an hour or two. I'm used to LOTS of studying correlating with good marks in my undergrad courses... for some reason I could just not bring myself to study that much in the summer. Will I crash & burn?? ontariostudent
I studied too much but not enough. MCAT studying is quite low yield because you have no clue what will be on, and can easily waste your time studying the wrong things. Just do what you can and be confident! xi88
How much time did you guys spend studying/practicing for WS? about 40 min. Probably why I got a M on it. But then again, the schools I applied to didnt require the WS.

invincible110
Yeah I know it sucks, because I feel good about physics and bio, just verbal and WS I'm on the fence about. I want to focus my attention on verbal but I feel I should spend time on WS too. Only thing about WS is that it is very unlikely I will get a passage that I am prepared for. I have TPR structure in my head, but don't really want to spend time memorizing good examples. Did many of you actually spend time memorizing examples? And did it help in the end? GGGSaint
Did many of you actually spend time memorizing examples? And did it help in the end? I think it's best to concentrate on two or three events that encompass many examples. For example, I've always been fascinated by the French revolution and took a course on it back in 1st year -> reviewed my notes + some Wiki recalling some major happenings/laws etc. Do that for a few things that you are already familiar with (i.e. Industrial Revolution, women's suffrage etc.) and you should be good enough to go. I found myself using these examples (sometimes with a twist) on my WS and it worked out nicely (R, even though I was not entirely happy with my examples).
