__sally__
hi, i'm definetely not taking a usual path into medicine, after deciding i would never pursue medicine after high school and going into an arts degree where i did a double major in drama and fine arts (the "artiest" of the arts, i know!) and working as a drama teacher for 6 months and travelling europe, ect... i decided to go to med school. i did a year of pre-reqs and have a 2 month old baby. i wrote the MCAT before having done my pre-reqs and didn't do to badly but definetely need to re-write, which i'm doing in 1.5 months. i know it sounds crazy but so far it's been going all right. the only thing is, i know i have a lot more material to cover and definetely physics is my weakest point... but i do have a tutor once a week to help in that department. so what i'm wondering is... what do you think the best use of time is? doing practice passages or review. so far i've been trying to do review and the passages/questions in the review (i did a prep course last summer and still have the materials) how should i set up my schedule? the baby sleeps a lot so i've been trying to study when i can but i keep getting distracted with other stuff i have to get done... :S

They are very helpful! Do a search on that part of the forum. There's a number of us non-trads that are lacking the physics, hehe! Myself included Good luck with everything! Rayven
I find that for myself I learn and retain material either by reading something over and over until I comprehend it enough that I could teach it to someone else or for stuff such as equations I usually just straight out write the formulas out 5 to 10 times each time I can't recall it during a question. Also what I think helps me a lot is to never go to sleep wondering. If you can't recall or don't know something, go take a look and find out before going to bed if it's the last thing you do.
