singh_1988
Hello everyone, im just wondering if anyone else has looked into the Early decision program at wayne. It seems like an interesting way to get into their med school
a41
It really doesn't make sense as an out-of-state applicant (unless you're from the Windsor area). If you don't get in EDP you'll be at a slight disadvantage because you've essentially delayed your application.
c17h
Agreed. Try to avoid EDP unless you REALLY want to go to this school and you feel as though you have a good chance of getting in (since you can only apply to one school through EDP). Otherwise, if you don't get in, it'll only delay your application at other schools, and reduce your chances of getting into any other medical school. FMX
on this link: http://www.med.wayne.edu/admissions/special_programs/early_decision.asp They say this: "You will not be able to apply to any other school and if you are accepted must attend Wayne State University School of Medicine. What if we are accepted into a CAD university as well? Do they try to hold us in by making us pay a full 1 term deposit first or something? a41
If you don't plan on attending if you're accepted, then don't apply EDP.
