Angela
Anyone find the EK 16 mini-MCATs worthwhile, or is better to just focus on the AAMC exams?

hkmedic
I recently bought this book from Amazon, and I like it very much. Each test features 2 PS, 2 VR and 2 BS passages (plus 2-3 freestanding questions at the end of PS and BS), for a total of about 47 questions per test. The contents tested on each exam follow their Complete MCAT Prep books, and so if you already have those books, this Mini-MCAT book is a nice companion. So for example, the first test will test Lectures 1 and 2 from Chemistry, Physics, Organic Chem and Biology. This Mini-MCAT book lets you keep up with reviewing by practicing with MCAT-like passages, and they're not too time consuming. The answers and explanations are also quite thorough. I would definitely recommend this book over their 1001-questions ___ series, which also seem to be quite popular. I wouldn't say this book can substitute as a 'real practice MCAT' because each test is only an hour long. However, doing more passages in a timed-setting can't hurt either.
