Femto
Will UT overlook part-time status if, during those years, one was competing/coaching at a high domestic level in a given sport that made it nearly impossible to attend school full-time? I realise that UofT will only consider full-time years in GPA calculation, but what if I only have one year of full-time school due to my involvement in elite competition? Thanks, Femto
future_doc
I doubt it but go to the source. Email them. But not to the first address you see, they don't seem to reply - ever. Try an admission officer, I think the name I remember is Taylor and they give the email address. If you don't receive a reply w/i 72 hours, phone the person directly, they give the phone no. Good luck.
Cnussey
You have two questions to answer for Toronto's sub. section--one asks if there is anything hindering your grades from showing your true academic abilities and the other is a personal statement (quite long, actually). If you are a talented writer (or are close friends with one), you will be able to portray your busy life-style and hard-work in one of these questions. Don't make it sound whiny or like an excuse--make it sincere/honest and put a positive spin on it (like how these experiences made you mature, dedicated, etc.).
