They only talk about calling if we can't make it. Congrats on your invite!! I sent a quick email to confirm, so I could thank them for inviting me for an interview and so that they would be certain that I was coming...I wanted to avoid showing up at a school and them not knowing that I was coming.. VTeight7
Congrats to lll and keith_015! Okay slightly funny story on my part now. So I had my Wayne interview last friday. (Future Wayne interviewees, feel free to PM me and I can tell you want I went through.) Went OK, the interviewer was very nice. However the receptionist told me that my interviewer was "Ms. ___". Afterward, a fellow applicant told me he was interviewed by the same woman, but referred to her as "Dr. ___". Subsequently, I wrote "Dr. ___" on my thank-you letter, assuming the receptionist used "Ms" to calm down applicants, or for modesty reasons. It turns out, my interviewer is not a doctor - she's got a Master's degree. Would my interviewer feel weird if my thank you note has already been addressed to her as "Dr. ___" ? Oh and in addition. My interviewer twice asked me "What would you change about yourself?". The 2nd time around I said I felt she'd asked me that already but she claimed she didn't - I thought it was a test of my attentiveness, but she showed no sign of testing me. So be attentive during the interview!

The St. Louis and Kentucky interviews went extremely well. Only a couple more days to go and hopefully we'll get some positive decisions! Thanks Rach and VTeight7! Rach, I'll probably have to ask you what the Kentucky interview is like closer to when I am scheduled (should be either end of Oct or early Dec according to interview calendar). It'll be a tough one as there is an interview in Lexington AND in Morehead from what the admissions office told me months ago when I called about the program. Oh, and don't worry Rach. I'm sure you and a ton of other people on this board will be filling up the Accepted/Rejected/Waitlist thread with good news at the end of the week. c17h
You can use it for practice for canadian interviews. I don't think it's worth it, rmitch...the gas/accommodation money, booking time off work, taking the time to travel to and from Detroit. The tuition is >$60,000 US per year (as Keith pointed out), you already have an acceptance and you probably won't need more interview practice (as you have more than 5 interviews lined up)...the only reason I would go if I were you is if you have a genuine desire to attend Wayne State. CdnatWayne
Hi guys, I'm a first year med student at Wayne! Let me know if you have any questions about the school or detroit or about your interviews (they are very laid back btw). We have 19 Canadians in our class (and i think a similar number in the 2nd year class) so you certainly won't be the only canadians here if you choose to goto Wayne. Rach
emcd, which airline/site did you choose for flights to Minneapolis? I'm trying to book flights for the end of the month and they are either over 800$ US, or they take 12 hours to get there with 3 stops.

Why not try flying out of Buffalo? Sure it is a little bit of a drive, but definitely save you a ton of money. Gives you more options for airlines and prices. Guess I'll have to suck it up and drive back in the middle of the night after my interview.
