Please register soon as seating is limited. but what kind of refreshments? are we talking some lame cookies/muffins or some serious cheese and meats? LOL Tooty, you are SOOOOO a grad student! Not only do us grad students look for the free eats, we also need to know the quality of the free eats What time is the welcome party? That might shed some light on the type of food. I can hazard a guess that it will not be pizza and beer.

jdai
BTW there will be many occasions to let your grad student mentality shine during med school because there's always these lunch hour talks with free food if you RSVP. It takes a real grad student to forget to sign up and then just waltz in undetected to get a free meal. It's... it's like journal club all over again. <

jdai
Nothing like "I'm a med student" to impress both the girls and the parents at the same time. ... Though it hasn't really worked for me. Maybe it's the expression on my face as I said it.
