smilee
I need to get a new computer as my current laptop is pretty much toast. I know that there's no specific laptop requirements for UWO, but in undergrad I much preferred to type rather than hand-write my notes. I'm wondering if at UWO do they give you notes you can download to your computer or do they give out notes that have already been printed on paper? I also remember on the tour when they pointed out the classroom that most of the first year classes take place in. Are there lots of outlets in there (I know some classrooms in undergrad had one at every seat but others had barely any)? Or should I look for a computer with better battery life if I'm leaning towards typing my notes (maybe a netbook?) Thanks so much!
tuhee
there arent many outlets in that room. not many people use their laptop to type notes in class, some of the notes are given as handouts in class, some are posted as ppt or pdfs. With the new curriculum coming in this comment may be a little unsubstantiated, but, out of all our classes last year the only classes I remember there being use of typing notes would be oral physio, all the other had notes that were pretty much complete and required very little additional information to be added to them.
