Michael777
Hey guys, sorry if this sounds a bit dumb...but does anyone know how to delete/deactivate this premed account. I feel like it is probably right in front of my nose but I have checked around and even tried to search for previous posts on the topic and I can't find anything useful. I mainly just find posts about people deactivating their facebook account or something. There is really no other folder that is "more appropriate" to post this in...so that is why I thought I would just post here. Thanks a lot! NewfieMike
Any particular reason you're wondering? I know a lot of people who deactivate their facebook accounts by the time that med applications roll around...
future_doc
Why not PM one of the moderators and simply ask them to deacrivate your account for you?
Michael777
Any particular reason you're wondering? I know a lot of people who deactivate their facebook accounts by the time that med applications roll around... Ya, I want to delete my premed account. I got it in February just so I could make the odd post or ask the odd question to help me through the whole application cycle/give help to others. But now with med school starting in like a week, I will probably never check this forum again....so there is really no point in having it.
Michael777
Why not PM one of the moderators and simply ask them to deacrivate your account for you? Ooo, that's what you have to do? Ok. I thought maybe there would have been a "deactivate account" option somewhere, but I couldn't find it and that's why I asked. Alright, thanks future_doc, I'll send the mods a message. supafield
Lol, interesting thread.... It would seem it's tough to get rid of an account, proof being "patchjoe's" thread at the bottom of the main page in the moderator forums asking them to delete him last fall.... Not only did it not get deleted, but now his username is on the front page of the forums advertising that he has posts he didn't want people to see haha. future_doc
Where is your sense of humour tooty? Look at the exchanges, I merely responded to his theme in kind and helped prevent a potentially valuable resource from leaving. Instead, he could and will contribute to us all in the future. In a light hearted manner and with a sense of humour, mission impossible was accomplished for us all! Read the below in context, just b/c I normally dont say lol or jk, don't for a moment read anything disgusting into it, it just ain't there, although it is in your mind that it is there. Just b/c you say something is so, does not make it so. Lighten up, we are really here to help each other and not pour acid on each other. I am compassionate and forgive you, even if you feel self-righteously indignant. As a future doc yourself, remember, no judgments, don't see the worst scenario or the worst of an individual, it is really counterproductive to you and on this site. Prior Exchanges: Me Although you could hang around and occasionally pay forward to those of us not yet in med school. Med students make valuable contributions to this site and it would be awful for you "to love us and leave us" so quickly. I'm a guy...that's what we do best I guess I could keep the account and make the occasional visit Why not do that recreationally and spread the love. There you go.......and you could help us every now and then. It would deeply appreciated. "that" referred to what he does best, it was all in good humour! You should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking that harmless banter (that saved a potential valuable contributer from leaving) stoops to the level where your mind went. I should wash your mind out with soap so that you may have a "clean" mind that does not see what is not there and make false judgments. Have as nice day and make somebody smile today, not frown. PS tooty: Speaking of "disgusting" repeatedly having a statement associated with your every post saying Your Retarded does not show compassion, sensitivity, good judgment, political correctness and is not funny......some people, probably many people would say what you proudly display next to your name is truly disgusting, but I say you are merely misguided and will eventually see the light and amend your ways. People in glass houses should not throw the first stone tooty. It is unnecessary to throw stones, verbal or otherwise, and I suggest you look into the mirror tooty. PPS Let's reread some of your really disgusting posts! egh, about "farting" and your views that you so proudly wrote. Try these: i enjoy it. i let one rip in the bathroom this morning. it was really bad. my girlfriend got mad at me. once i farted in bed and then fluffed the duvet. my girlfriend didn't find it as hilarious as i did. Did you really feel as a future physician it was important to repeatedly share this disgusting information with us? I sincerely hope that (a) you do not share with your patients this disgusting information and ( you do not expose them to this disgusting habit of yours during their visits. I trust you did were on your best behaviour and played the game well to get into med school. It is not too late for you to reform your ways. And perhaps one day you will become sensitive to others less fortunate than you should you sympathetically encounter mentally challenged persons in your professional and personal life, I sincerely hope so. Do you have any perception of sarcasm? It would prevent literally HUNDREDS of your meaningless banters if you could somehow develop a way of not taking every word literally. future_doc
Do you have any perception of sarcasm? It would prevent literally HUNDREDS of your meaningless banters if you could somehow develop a way of not taking every word literally. oh well, more of the same from you, I should have known to expect it from you as a leapard cannot change its spots. You both belong together, lol BTW, there is an easy solution for you to avoid my allegely meaningless banters - just hit "ignore" posts and you avoid ALL my posts for life!! Now did I need to teach you that, I had thought you were smart enough to figure that one out for yourself, but I am m ost happy to oblige.lol
future_doc
The only reason I know about how to use the "ignore list" is b/c honestly, I have only ever considered and actally put one person on the ignore list - you . Therefore, any posting you make, I am unable to read, it just does not show up - other than letting me know that you have made a new posting. If I am curious or have nothing better to do, I have to go the extra step and out of my way to click further to actually be able to read your post. So, to reciprocate, it would be a really nice and sweert gesture on your part, if you added me to your very own 'ignore list', even if it means I will be the first such person on a new list you create - I would be honoured. Then, you might only react if I post something that troubles you so much, you feel you have no other choice.. I sometimes feel I must react to one of your posts and so, I do. So, we both have shared our views and lets try to carry on like the mature adults we are or we hope to become.
NewfieMike
so the "mature adult" thing to do would be to just sweep it under the rug and pretend it's not there. whatever. ohhhhh wait, you can't read this. well, just in case you click to read anyways, I'd never dream of putting you on my ignore list. For some odd reason i find your posts intriguing.

For some odd reason i find your posts intriguing. NOTE: You may stop reading at any time if this bothers you, you feel guilty or are getting a head ache. Reading my posts is strictly optional, I read yours b/c I was simply bored. (you are still are on my 'ignore list') What is "it's"? Don't find my "banterings" intriguing, just turn down the raido or turn off the TV and ignore them. Meanwhile, as a good faith suggestion for your consideration, and perhaps you will consult your g/f if she is still there b/c she has not read some of your posts, instead of always raining on others as a favourite habit and telling us about your obsessive peeves, why don't you actually help out other members of this forum and make a positive contribution, as others have done and do? At least, think about it and turn over a new leaf with the new members joining. This is one of the many purposes for this forum. Mind you, it is just my suggestion - although I know what you think of me and my suggestions. I am quite capable of dealing with acid, sarcasm, sexism and any other stupidity that may be thrown out, and I am able to respond if and when I choose to; although I would much prefer not to deal with such trash. As future docs, we really want to take the high road, helping to elevate ourselves and others in this journey. Life somehow creates a level field over time and many unworthy will be filtered out:) in the process of seeking med school, a good happening, unfortunately others worthy and capable of being excllent docs will also in this lottery. I trust that both you and I will be judged correctly so we both may be slotted correctly in this lottery.
