neve6
Hey, I was wondering how everyone is filling out their activities. Are you writing in full sentences? Here is an example of one of my leadership activities, it would be great if I could get some feedback! Thanks Party for a Cause Goal: raise money for the developing world by hosting parties 2006-Volunteer (raised $10,700 for Doctors Without Borders) 2007-Volunteer Coordinator: recruit and manage 20 volunteers (raised $14,800 for the Cambodian Landmine Relief Fund) 2008-Co-President: manage team of 8, work with other student groups, and oversee finances (raised $17,200 for Playpumps International)
future_doc
I am not applying to UBC but ifit fits in, it is fully descriptive of your role. Question: 2007 as Volunteer Coordinator shows leadership clearly, as does 2008, but does 2006 as presently written show leadership? It shows you raised money and obviously used initiative, where is the leadership? Should somehow flesh it out to make it clear? It isn't to me now. terryann
When you state the activity, do you describe it in a full sentence or point form?
future_doc
full sentence, although sometimes I drop the wors "I" so technically it is then not a 'sentence' and is gramatically incorrect, lol
djmackj
I wrote everything in full and grammatically correct sentences
AndreaM
I mostly used point form so that I could include more information. Much like I would have for a resume.
