Annoying question

I have an entry on my sketch which took place in San Francisco.

I want ideas of how to put it in the 'location' part of the OMSAS.

Here's the kicker though...for 99% of my entries I included the province:

I.E Guelph, ON

or Chicago, IL

any thoughts?

S.F., Calif.

I wouldn't do that, there are multiple places in cali with the initials S.F.

just fit as much of the city name as you can and use CA to identify the state.

I don't think they are going to confuse San Francisco CA with San Francisco anywhere else.

Do you have space to put CA? or USA?

could be confused with san fernando which is also in cali

I thought the OP's problem was that s/he couldn't fit the state name in the required spot.

Last year, I had to fit 'Lake Louise AB' into my sketch for location, inputted it in as 'LakeLouiseAB'. No complaints!

'SanFrancisco' takes up the same amount of space (12 chararcters) and not having CA, or US, or whatever is not going to make or break the application ;)

Lol, you're probably right, I would say with 100% confidence they wouldn't care at all... I think it's just that we all try to perfect the application to the extent that we wouldn't want even a single questionable inconsistency, regardless of the fact that everyone know's it will have no bearing

How about St. Catharines, Ontario? all of my sketch locations have the province included, but for this one all I could fit was "StCatharines"

Also, do you think it's horrible to list no location for something? Under "other" I put that I'm a member of the Association of Medical Illustrators. I'm a member... wherever I happen to be! I just put N/A under location.... does that make sense?
