I am a bit confused about the end date that I need to put for the ties to a Northern, rural and remote area. During a trip to the rural area, I met a girl and we became a very close friend. What would I put as the end date if I still talk her through e-mail and MSN? Thanks in advance.

judgement call. if you still talk to her and plan on keep talking to her, don't put down an end date. i think that's acceptable.

It won't let you not put an end date, I know because I found it silly that I had to put an end date for my ties to the community that my grandma lives in. I just put Sept 1 for it and assumed they would realize that meant current, since current wasn't an option. If you still have contact with that person I would put down Sept 1. I think they want to see that you have somewhere you might be willing to go back to or do a clerkship in.
